First weekend of the summer

...was spent hosting a post moving garage sale!

My grandparents have stored much of our things that we have no need for anymore (lawn mower, patio furniture, gas grill, washer/dryer, bunk beds etc) waiting to have a garage sale to hopefully get rid of them. We did it all day Saturday and were able to get rid of a lot! Yesterday we had to box up the rest of the things and get it ready for salvation army/goodwill but most of my clothes, shoes etc I'm giving to my friend Ruby who is teaching in Mexico and doing a garage sale/fund raiser in July so hopefully she will be able to sell the rest of the clothes there!

We were able to have dinner with some family which was nice! Thanks for coming over guys!
I have a purse/jewelry party tomorrow night
Computer lab Saturday
Studying Sunday
Then exam week!

Hopefully after 6 months I will be getting that little thing back in my life that is called consistency... I've been in this whirlwind of emotions, projects, house duty, apt duty, moving, cleaning and somewhere in the middle was school! I am hoping to get a better handle on work and school now that all the house stuff is done.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me through this time- even if it was just a kind word of encouragement- it means a lot!

Tomorrow has finally come... I thought it never would

Adios house!

It is finished!
As of 9pm Sunday night we had everything out of the house and were driving away and I knew I didn't have to go back and do any more work. What a feeling!

Now tomorrow we get to place the keys in someone else's hand... and truly have a fresh new start of our own without the house hanging over our head. Its a relief for me because I tried to pour my heart into cleaning before showings, moving, and cleaning in the end... so hopefully all our hard work paid off and the new people will appreciate it ;)

EXHAUSTED & INSPIRED... all in a matter of a day

Its amazing how tiring a day can be but also end with some of the most inspiring people in my life who love me more than I can imagine and are willing to give some time to share in a [wowing] Divine Appointment!

Today, we hauled out the garage sale items, goodwill, trash, and keeping piles... you know that show Clean Sweep on TLC- yeah I kinda felt a little like that! Now just a bit of cleaning and we are officially done.
It was a somewhat long, tiring day. I tried to take a nap this afternoon but I couldn't make my mind slow down long enough- I knew there were so many things to put away I figured I'd just sleep later. So I made some dinner- props to Madre and her wonderful ground turkey that was already made I just took care of the veggies, and red potatoes to finish up the meal.

After some other random things... Madre and I had simultaneous calls on our cells. Aunt Suzy called Mom and Jayme called me! They were on their way over to see our ::crib:: :)
We had an amazing talk and was much needed at this season of my life. I know this was such a divine appointment made by God; I really feel that even though its hard when 3 people are looking out for your best interest and giving the most raw advice possible...its hard to keep the spotlight on me.. I want to shift it to something else, talk about something else.
But!
Tonight needed to happen... I really feel it was somewhat of a breakthrough moment.. like I finally got it! Now I can run with the truth (literally and spiritually) and have a band behind me (right Aunt Suzy! haha) that will help me whenever needed... and sing whatever song necessary ;)

so much stuff...

How much fun is moving? Hmm let me count the ways! Ugh- its not really.

It has got me thinking though...
obviously its about weeding stuff out of my closet, room, schedule, life, etc and now that I'm in the new space and its not cluttered with the old dusty stuff I want to keep it clean and tidy so that I have room for new (fill in the blank) in the future. I'm willing to get rid of the old now because I know there is something better to come in the future and as they always say "less is more"
I do have a point in all of this- and its not materialism ;) Having the life where we are willing to be pruned by God is how it should be- I have to be willing to let go of the old dusty crap because He has provisions for me that I don't even know about... He has a destiny planned out for me that is out of this world! Its a little harder to have growing pains or "pruning" done rather than giving up some random pile of shoes or something and being willing to be pliable in the Masters hands is so much more important

God make me need you more!

ahhhhhh....

I'm sooooooooooo tired... there were a few times yesterday that I thought I was literally going to pass out. I've been back and forth sooo many times!
I need some java... love to go get some but I have the dogs here with me now and I can't even step outside without Morgan barking- so I'm kinda stuck here which is probably a good thing for me. Actually I can't even go in another room without having someone right behind me.

Anyone looking for a dog?

This is Cricket (we didn't name her) but she is such a sweet dog.
She is a Golden Retriever/chow mix but don't let the Chow part scare you... the only thing is lil purple spots on her tongue and her short nose... she is such a great girl and unfortunately we have to find her a home because we can't take her to the apt with us.
Let me know if you know of anyone that is interested- we hope to find a good home for her.

so sweet...

Its amazing when you have to drive through a hail storm to get home to let your dogs out before 7am... that was yesterday. Yes, we air mattress'd it Wednesday night. It was nice but I sure was sore/tired yesterday.

The day ended with more back and forth trips from home and then playing bball with my Grandma, Grandpa & Madre in our clubhouse! Yeah we have video of all of us playing- props to Madre for that one. All of us made our last shots and ended with a BANG. ("quit while we were ahead") If my legs didn't feel like they were going to stop working before we went over there- they sure did after!!!

Sleeping was a bit better last night although my wrist is killing me from playing badminton hard yesterday for class... although I'm moving a lot today so it will stay taped ::hopefully::

Well, getting up before the sun has made for long days but I get a lot done...

I'll update more later- although I don't think I'll have wireless for the weekend since we are in transition... but thats where our business center comes in handy with computers and printers... I heart this place!

busy busy busy

Here comes the lists of so many things to do... I live by lists "to do" this "to do" that and there is a sense of accomplishment when things are crossed off! Like getting a large load of stuff out of our house that will be given to Goodwill or sold at a garage sale :)

Well, I'm starting a list today so I don't forget to do something important- it also helps as a tentative game plan for the day/week. I have a lot of stuff to do for school, including an exam today & this whole move is a huge distraction for me right now... I'll get through.

I think the best way to transfer our stuff to a beautiful apt 5 miles away is to take stuff over in shifts- I'm hoping to work on my room and get everything over to the other room by Friday afternoon (depending on when we get the keys to the apt) And work on getting our beds over Friday night! Thats my logical plan but who knows what will come up before then.
