a beautiful friend

is having a birthday today! Tara is the friend who will be there for me no matter how long its been since we've talked. We were able to get together last Friday night and had a great time chatting about pretty much everything! We are frequent texters so it doesn't feel as long when we are busy and can't get together- texting does the job. She is also planning a wedding while working and preparing to move to Dallas with Ryan who will be her husband in August! I can't wait to share in their special day. Tara, I hope you have a blessed day! Love you

another favorite

it becomes difficult when choosing favorites for any shoot let alone a wedding shoot... but for some reason this photo has been added to the recent list! I love the way the flowers are in the shape of a heart... what do you think? The rest of the photos are being uploaded here- I'm hoping to have them all up before I leave for St Augustine this Thursday.

If you haven't seen me since my party, I've been sporting this purple bracelet on either my right or left wrist.
Dr Bob had brought these bracelets up during a weekend service at Granger and the end goal is to break the habit of complaining. For me, thats tough- I am "ok" with the big things that tick me off or hurt me because I tend to stuff the emotions down but with the little things I find myself complaining a lot- about the smallest things.
The rules are you wear the bracelet on your right wrist and if you complain you have to switch it to the left wrist and start over the next day- the goal is to get through 21 days of being complaint free. I'm determined but I know it may take awhile- I'm having a hard time getting past 3 days. I can't imagine what day 19 will be like!
Pray for me during this time.
It helps that I'm reading Cold Tangerines and learning to celebrate every day.

changing a part

So I'm random... and decided to change my part but felt like it looked crazy when I did it.. Andria decided to part it on the other side without me asking her after she cut my hair. I've got some positive feedback already but I'd like to hear what you think. (I think it goes better with the nose ring but who knew changing a part would be so difficult)
