the news

...well my Madre beat me to the news but this beautiful lady is going to have a BABY! I'm so happy for my Aunt, Uncle and Mr. Kyle. We just have to pray everything continues to go well... God knows what He is doing :)

She was pretty creative in telling us during the prayer on Thanksgiving as we all gasped for air when it finally sunk in.

Well, I had to go back to the dr yesterday... I'm still not sure exactly what I have- it very well could be that the 3 infections I had a month ago are just now working their way out of my system.
They did blood work (yes I dislike needles but the nurse was good) and then sent me downstairs to get some of these:then the tech said... "well, we are also going to do a head x-ray to look at your sinus' so you'll need to take out your earrings and... oh, can you take out your nose ring?" What? I said, "Oh yeah I'll try to..." I had to take it out on the spot- it didn't feel so great but I got it out. It would have ruined the xray with a metal line in my sinus cavity. :)
Still waiting to hear back about a blood test. It had me thinking I needed to go back to the dr. when I went to bed one night at 7pm and didn't wake up till 1130am and was still tired.

If nothing else, I need some Holy Spirit strength to get through the next month!

same week engagement...

Kerry and Joanna are also engaged as of last week! I'm very happy for them- I shared elementary years with Joanna and HS with Kerry! What a great couple! Happy planning

Ciji and Jared are engaged!

Congratulations to my dear friend Ciji and her new fiance Jared! I received a phone call a couple hours ago, just after he asked her to marry him! I'm so excited for both of them- they are a great match! I remember the day she told me early last spring about this guy she met the night before... I'm so glad they met- he is great!
Congrats hun- I can't wait to help you plan... love ya

Thankful Heart

How easily we can forget how precious life is! So long as we can remember, we've just been here, being alive.Unlike other things for which we have a good comparison--black to white, day to night, good to bad--we are so immersed in life that we can see it only in the context of itself. We don't see life as compared to anything, to not-being, for example, to never having been born. Life just is. But life itself is a gift. It's a compliment just being born: to feel, breathe, think, play, dance, sing, work, love, for this particular lifetime. Today, let's give thanks for life. For life itself. For simply being born!
