Its a BOY!

Kyle will have a brand new brother on/around July 17th! Personally I thought it was going to be a girl but the ultrasound showed that it was very obviously a boy!

Congrats to my Aunt, Uncle and soon-to-be-big-brother Kyle

Chamber of Commerce Salute to Business

I was the photographer for the annual Salute to Business luncheon last Wednesday at the Century Center. It was a fun day although I was so busy taking pictures that I didn't even get a chance to sit down and eat. I was able to meet some great business leaders and the keynote speaker Debra made me laugh on a number of occasions.
My cousin Christine has done it in years past but she asked if I'd be available this year. Thanks for passing along the opportunity!

walking has become a lot quieter

It used to be this:

Now its only this:

Walks have become pretty quiet... Morgan was always the talker whether it was in regards to a new dog walking by us or seeing an old friend (such as Gracie, Libby or Levi)
Crick & I have taken a walk 3xs this week and she only prances- no bark, only a quiet whimper when seeing another animal. Its just not the same. I miss my Morgan.

Sara

I enjoyed some time meeting Sara and her Mom on Tuesday and being able to do a prenatal session as the countdown is on till she gets to meet her first child- which is about 20 days away!
This was my first gift certificate session so it was a little out of my realm but good nonetheless. I can't wait to meet this lil one! The rest of her photos are here
It was also a challenge since I had to go straight from the Salute to Business luncheon (more on that later) to her session so I had to get in a different mindset in the 35 minute drive.

What a day...

12am reading after a relaxing hot shower and hopeful to sleep in an extra 15 minutes :)
5am hear the snow plow that continuously goes in reverse with an annoying back-up beeper
6am my alarm *snooze* I needed to be up early yesterday but todayI was able to sleep in
730am wake and get ready
830 getting ready to leave early (early? surprising for me too)
831 found that Morgan couldn't wait for me to let her out
835 noticed she kept following me from room to room and bumped into a few walls (somewhat odd)
845 let the dogs out and rushed to get to class on time
855 noticed my wiper blades are falling apart- minor detail
903 arrive to class after slipping and falling on the snow- just laugh- I did.
950 class is almost done
1005 run home to get things ready for the meeting
1015 notice Morgan acting funny- first call to Mom
1025 Morgan collapses- call Mom again
1035 tears begin- and realization sets in that the outcome is not good :`(
1037 Gpa calls to tell me that he is 5 min away from the shop and Mom will come get her
1040 Grame is on her way with an old blanket
1105 Mom is on her way to the HS

1136 Morgan was put to sleep... could have been from a stroke with the way she was acting but all we know is that it was her time.
1140 I had to leave to meet with a Bride from Boston (Jayme- she lives pretty close to the Conservatory)
it is now 1:48 and I have many things to do but I look forward to a better afternoon... and this evening as we celebrate a good friend and then have to say goodbye to a dear *new* friend of mine that is leaving for China tomorrow and will be gone for 3.5 months.

vision.aspiration.faith.

Vision looks inward and becomes duty.Vision looks outward and becomes aspiration.Vision looks upward and becomes faith.

God has poured out some pretty big blessings over the past few months, its so surreal. After the past 1.5 years, and all that I've been through, I could easily say "its about time." Thats not the case- I am very thankful and honestly, don't know where I'll be in a year but I do know that my response to the blessings has been the important part- I've been looking deeper into my heart to search out my deepest desires. I've had some very meaningful conversations with friends and am reading ERM "Seizing Your Divine Moment"
So between new friends, old friends, MERGE, Rob's Justice service last weekend... its all been about the very thing God made me to do. I'm not limiting this to JUST photography- but I also did not think I'd own a business at the age of 22.

I want to live a life of adventure... I don't want to play it safe and only be known for the things I didn't do but instead the things I did!
I'm excited for the journey to begin!

ERM
-seizing your divine moment is not simply about opportunity; at the core it is about essence. it's about the kind of life you live as a result of the person you are becoming.
-do what you know you should do, and you will know what to do. God clarifies in the midst of obedience, not beforehand.

*What would you do if you knew you wouldn't fail?

Ciji & Jared

We went out yesterday to take some engagement photos... and I heard before the shoot that Jared wasn't a fan of pictures but I think they both did well! We went to a variety of locations and all the photos will be up in a couple hours on the website.

Congrats you two- can't wait to shoot the wedding in July!
